On the 169th and final day of the fantasy basketball season, it’s almost time for hecman’s Magic 8 Ball to take a vacation. He deserves it, don’t you think! While you can’t tell from the outside, he’s crying on the inside. You’d have to look in the little glass window to see the tears but they are there! They are blue for whatever reason but I digress. I was thinking about all the writing I’ve done this season and I estimated that I have written 140 posts since mid-October. 140! I also estimated that each post probably averaged between 1000 and 1300 words so let’s call it an average of 1100 words per post. Guestimate! Anyway, multiply 140 posts x 1100 words and you’ll get 154,000 words written this fantasy basketball season. That’s a lot of words, son! Some novels don’t have that many words and certainly aren’t written in 6 months so, yeah, I’ve been pretty dedicated to helping you to fantasy basketball glory. I also answered countless questions for you in the Comments and on Twitter, probably in the thousands but who’s counting!? I hope I helped! And if I didn’t, I hope you enjoyed reading my posts (along with J-Fort and Jewish_Jeff’s posts!) every day and had fun trying like hell to win. There isn’t much more fantasy basketball insight I can give you for tonight’s games so I refer you to yesterday’s posts where I gave you a shit load of possible streamers for tonight. I gave them to you yesterday because I know a lot of leagues don’t allow same day pick ups so I got you ready yesterday for today. That’s how much I care and want you to win! Sniff.

Anyway, part two(!), now that the season is over, we won’t stop blogging fantasy hoops here. What I’ll be doing next is giving you the actual final statistics and rankings of the top 20 at each position and compare them to my projected rankings and statistics. That should be fun to see, said Marcus Thornton and Ersan Ilysaova! After that, we’ll give you some fantasy basketball awards and then we’ll be covering the NBA Draft with features on players who are projected to go in the first round. Gots to get you ready for next season, y’all, so don’t go away! You can always follow on Twitter @hecmanhoops for new posts and what not.

Lastly, as many of you know, this year I started hecmanroto.com, the fantasy baseball side of the blog so be sure to check it out this year. I have assembled a crazy-ass good team of writers who are just dying to help you to fantasy baseball glory. Definitely be sure to follow me on Twitter @hecmanbaseball for all new fantasy baseball posts and real time MLB player news. It’s good fun! See you here and on the other side and good luck tonight! Cheers! No, I’m not Australian.

You want to know garbage time, oh, I gots some garbage time up in here for you! Did you check out the Knicks-Bobcats box score last night? I can only imagine some 9 year old kid sitting in his seats at the game with his daddy last night. The conversation probably went something like this: Daddy, where is Carmelo Anthony? … Oh, Junior, Carmelo is the one sitting on the end of the bench in a $10,000 Armani suit … Oh, why isn’t he playing daddy? … Well, he’s resting, Junior, he’s tired and it’s only the Bobcats … Oh, bummer, daddy, how about Tyson Chandler and Amare Stoudemire, where are they? … Oh, those guys are hurt, son. Tyson has a stiff neck and Amare is learning to walk with his arms … Hey, daddy, I wanted to see Raymond Felton play, remember when he used to play for the Bobcats? … Yeah, I remember, that was before Michael Jordan traded him away but it was ok because we needed to develop D.J. Augustin, that worked out really well for us, D.J. is in the playoffs! Anyhoo! The moral of the story is streamers are more important than ever. Major players are resting up for the playoffs so you need to be extra vigilant these last two days of the season. What I just said about the Knicks also applies to the Heat-Cavs game and many others last night. We straight, Skippy? Below are guys you’ll want to take a good look at as streamers on Wednesday. I’m going to skip stats for the sake of time and instead just list a bunch of guys who are getting burn:

Chris Copeland – Went crazy last night and probably will again Wednesday even if Carmelo Anthony plays a few minutes.

Steve Novak – 5 threes last night. That’s what he does, he hits the three ball!

Pablo Prigioni – Started at point guard and played 42 minutes with 8 dimes.

Iman Shumpert – Played 42 minutes last night.

James White – Played 43 minutes last night. Stretch those legs, stretch them out!

Taj Gibson – Came back and could be a nice streamer tomorrow night.

E’Twaun Moore – Played 27 minutes last night.

Norris Cole – The whole Heat team took the night off and they still won!

Mike Miller – Only played 26 minutes but can do damage with that.

Rashard Lewis – Played 32 minutes.

Joel Anthony – 31 minutes last night and almost double-doubled with 2 blocks.

Ray Allen – Sad, it’s come down to him being just a streamer but Mike Miller told you to avoid him back in October!

James Jones – Three point specialist! It’s true.

Shaun Livingston – Getting back court burn but you already knew that!

Dion Waiters – The knee bone is connected to the streamer bone!

Cartier Martin – I had him in my Add/Drop post last Friday. Really, I did. Go check it out if you don’t believe me!

Kevin Seraphin – He disappointed you earlier in the season so let him disappoint you late in the season, too! It’s fun!

Kris Humphries – Hump!

Andray Blatche – Dray!

Mirza Teletovic , MarShon Brooks, C.J. Watson – The rest of the Nets bench warmers!

Arnett Moultrie – I’d love to see a huge game out of him tomorrow. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t!

Dorell Wright – Remember when he was good for like a nano second on Golden State? Me neither.

Kyle Singler – Just imagine Kyle is back in college playing against Wake Forest. That’s Kyle tomorrow night.

Ty Lawson – I’m sure he was grabbed, you better have grabbed him if he was dropped. It’s the law, son!

Evan Fournier – I still don’t know what Fournier means in French but it went from hot to kind of like warm.

John Henson – Did you get your Henson John!?

Jerryd Bayless – Will probably do well tomorrow. He does well when he plays minutes!

Justin Holiday – While Jrue takes one.

Keyon Dooling – Hey, you never know!

Ed Davis – Empty the bench!

Brandon Wright – Give Chris Kaman a look-see also.

Jae Crowder – Dallas guys should rest. I assume they will rest anyway.

Cole Adrich – Been rolling a bit.

Jimmer Fredette – Hopefully, he will make Bobby Hurley, Jr. proud tomorrow night.

Reggie Jackson – Swing for the fences!

Hasheem Thabeet – Nice and unathletic, just the way a lottery pick should be!

Nick Collison – Yay?

Festus Ezeli – Love the name!

DeMarre Carroll – Take a look at the whole Utah bench if you’re desperate. I know you are, you’re reading this!

Kendall Marshall – Played 28 minutes last night.

Nando De Colo, Gary Neal, Corey Joseph, DeJuan Blair, Patty Mills – I imagine all these studs will get burn tomorrow night. Oh, they are on the Spurs.

Greg Smith – Starting! For whatever that’s worth.

Terrence Jones – Went over him last week. I think it was last week, I can’t remember anything anymore. It’s all just a haze after 6 months of blogging everyday! You’re welcome now please consider buying a t-shirt to support the blog!

What a long strange trip it’s been. Who sang that? I know that’s a song, I’m pretty sure anyway. The Grateful Dead! I once saw them at the Meadowlands in New Jersey way, way back in like 1995. In case you don’t know, The Meadowlands was also known as Giants Stadium which is now known as Met Life Stadium. Corporate sell out! Anyway, enough about the Grateful Dead, all I remember about the show is people throwing stuff at Sting, he opened up for them. Then I blacked out and when I woke up I had bad breath and was sitting in a Denny’s at 2:30 a.m. with a Grand Slam breakfast in front of me. Anyhoo, it was a long strange trip that day, like fantasy basketball this season! Yesterday, Ty Lawson started and played 31 minutes and looks to be feeling better. I had some concerns last week that he wouldn’t be very helpful if he was only going to play limited minutes but 31 surprised even my Magic 8 Ball! The Nuggets play tonight and Wednesday so go ahead and grab him if he was reasonably lost. Hopefully, he won’t fart on your pillow with limited burn heading into the playoffs but I wouldn’t be surprised. P-U! We’ve got three more days to do work so let’s get to it, shall we?

Anthony Randolph – 18/6/0 with 2 steals and a block. With Kenneth Faried looking down for the count, Anthony Randolph could actually help you to fantasy glory. Anthony Randolph!

Nazr Mohammed – 0/2/0 with a steal. He was playing well with basically the whole front court out but disappeared into the hole he came from with the return of Luol Deng. Sigh.

Mike Miller – 11/6/4 with 2 steals and three threes. He’s suddenly even playing with the first unit. Talk about stepping in doo, doo. He should keep some his mild production the ROS!

Keith Bogans -6/1/2 with 2 threes. Started but did nothin’! Typical. Ignore. As usual!

Aaron Gray – 4/9/2 in 34 minutes. Here’s what I told you the other day in my Amir Johnson blurb: Amir Johnson – 56% – Pretty much it’s him and the ball boy in the Toronto front court. And by ball boy, I mean Aaron Gray. I thought it was funny anyway. If you’re super desperate for cheap boards then give the ball boy a look-gander.

Lance Stephenson – 22/4/1 with 2 steals and 4 threes. He very quietly had a productive season. Can he continue it next year? Meh, if Danny Granger is back in the fold with essentially the same team.

Kyrie Irving – 4/3/3/ with a steal and a three. Burp. He can only do better but you already knew that!

Arnett Moultrie -10/6/0 in 24 minutes. The 76ers don’t gots nothing to play for so maybe, just maybe, Arnett will get a little burn these last two games. If you’re desperate you may just get a cherry on top. It’s also possible you’ll get a pit! Hey, I said if you’re desperate!

Will Barton – 17/9/5 with a three. Yes! Good ole Will Barton, sounds like a magic act in Vegas. I think that’s the guy’s name, not sure. He makes championships magically appear!

Evan Fournier – 24/4/4 with 3 steals and 3 threes. I’m not sure what fournier means but it sounds French for hot! Go!

O.J. Mayo – 8/2/4 with a steal and 2 threes. Not much to be said about O.J. He slowed a bit but what’s you gonna do. Did you sell him high when I told you to? That was awhile ago before he got, um, cold.

Brian Roberts – 13/4/6 with a steal and 3 threes. He’s clearly in the rotation even with Greivis Vasquez and Eric Gordon both in the lineup so good on Brian! No, I’m not Australian. Too bad they have just one game left. Wednesday!

Robin Lopez – 10/13/2 with a block. I told you to sell his afro loving ass way, way, way back in the day. The day being like December or January. Or both! He’ll make for a nice streamer on Wednesday though with Anthony Davis now launched until next season.

Cole Adrich – 12/12/0 with a steal and 4 blocks. What can be said about Cole that hasn’t already been said? He’s a legend in his own mind! Keep an eye on DeMarcus Cousin’s suspension and stream away if DMC is out tonight! Or don’t. Your call. Patrick Patterson is another option. Or Jason Thompson!

Chandler Parsons – 13/5/5 with a steal, block and 2 threes. The game was a blowout so not much value in any of the lines but Chandler passed you the Grey Poupon this year and probably some fantasy gold! Or at least a silver or bronze.

Jodie Meeks – 8/4/4 with 2 threes. The Lakers only have one game left so Jodie can help you in threes but you best have yourself a FG lead if you stream him, son!

Steve Blake – 23/5/4 with 2 steals and 4 threes. Steve, the Lakers point guard, leading you to fantasy glory! Yes! Wait, I already used that one last week.

Hey, don’t forget to check out yesterday’s post by J-Fort for some awesome Week 35 streaming strategy.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s the last leg of the race that is fantasy basketball and I hope you all had an enjoyable season, regardless if you won that championship or not! Obviously, the goal is to win every year, but sometimes things just don’t go your way, like untimely injuries for example. All you can do is put yourself in the best position to win and that’s what we at hecmanhoops are here to help out with. It was a short night in NBA land with only four games last night so let’s get to it……

John Henson – 8/11/blk Is an excellent play while Larry Sanders and Samuel Dalembert are out.

Mike Dunleavy – 19/2/3/blk I see this as a fluke, but Mikey is getting a lot more run with the regulars out. Very streamable.

Josh McRoberts – 18/9/9/stl Holy McBOB!!! Just missed a triple double last night! Who knew he had so many tools!

Bismack Biyombo – 13/17/2blk Probably his best game of the year and will be a very nice play in their last two games.

Paul Pierce (12/6/8/stl) and Kevin Garnett (14/9/3/stl) both played last night and if they were dropped in your league, they should be very nice plays. Just remember, there is a chance that they sit again for rest, but I see them playing and getting tuned up for the playoffs.

Goran Dragic – 10/2/14/4stl One of the fantasy MVP’s in my book. He played hard all year, was very consistent, and didn’t miss much time at all. Remember that when drafting next year.

Teams that have only one game left. (followed by possible streamers)

Lakers – Antawn Jamison, Jodie Meeks, Metta World Peace.

Teams that play Tuesday and Wednesday.

Los Angeles Clippers – Matt Barnes.

Teams that play Monday and Wednesday.

New York Knicks – Chris Copeland, Iman Shumpert.

As I’m sure you have heard by now, Kobe Bryant (35/5/4) left the game against the Warriors last night with an apparent Achilles injury that did not look good. Kobe went down like he had been shot and in the process suffered a complete tear to his left Achilles tendon. This is terrible news for Bryant owners who have been riding him in their final weeks of fantasy basketball, but it’s definitely worse news for Bryant. The Achilles injury is potentially career threatening, but I’ve bet against Kobe before on injuries and he never ceases to amaze us with what he will recover from, or play through. His recovery time is expected to be around nine months so there is a chance he will be ready for opening day next year. Let the Nike rehabilitation commercials begin! Now, I’m sure you Kobe owners are wondering who to grab, right? Well, the first guys who come to mind are Jodie Meeks (3/2/2) and Antawn Jamison (0/2/stl). I think Jodie Meeks becomes the starter, but there’s also a chance it could be Metta World Peace or Jamison. Either way, there are a ton of options out there so let’s finish this post together before you go make your acquisition to replace Bryant. First things first, with all but two teams playing last night, here’s a list of who did NOT play last night………

Nikola Pekovic, Wes Matthews, Kendrick Perkins, Kevin Martin, Andrew Bogut, Steve Nash, Chandler Parsons, Thomas Robinson, Anthony Davis, Grevis Vasquez, Grant Hill, Kenyon Martin, Tyson Chandler, Dion Waiters, Byron Mullens, Jose Calderon, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett………..take a deep breath, I’ll wait…………… Brandon Jennings, Samuel Dalembert, Larry Sanders, Marshon Brooks, Gerald Green, Landry Fields, Terrence Ross, Martell Webster, Trevor Ariza, Derrick Rose, and Joakim Noah.

Now, here’s what I saw in fantasy basketball last night………

Nazr Mohammed – 16/13/1/1/1 Continues to do his best Joakim Noah impression.

Aaron Gray – 6/6/3 Got a start with Jonas Valancuinas out, but there may be a better option out there.

Kyle Lowry – 13/9/11/2stl This is the type of line we expected from him from night to night when we drafted him. How disappointing! Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me, or something like that.

Quincy Acy – 10/9/stl/3blk Getting some run with all the injuries and is producing nicely.

John Henson – 8/8/1/3/2 Started with Larry Sanders and Samuel Dalembert out. The line is a bit disappointing after his monster game the other night, but Henson still has the look of a future fantasy stud.

Monta Ellis – 27/8/17/5stl Congratulations Ellis owners! Could this be close to what we may get next year if Brandon Jennings leaves town? Hmmmm…..

Rashard Lewis – 19/1/1 The Big three is back for the Heat and Rashard is still getting minutes. Could be an “ok” stream play.

Jonas Jerebko – 21/8/1/1/1 Nice game, but most of the Pistons feasted on the defenseless Bobcats last night.

Matt Barnes – 16/10/1 Another decent streamer as he’s been getting 30 plus minutes a night.

Brian Roberts – 15/6/11 Hey Kobe owners, this is probably a starting point if you’re looking for a replacement. I’d be surprised to see Gravis Vasquez back again this season, and the Hornets play again tomorrow.

Marc Gasol – 15/12/5/3/3 Hey, remember when Gasol was out for the season, so we all dropped him, and then he suddenly returned, and all of our competitors grabbed him? I remember that. That sucked.

Terrence Jones – 7/12/2/1/2 Getting some run off the bench for the Rockets. Might be worth a look in deeper leagues.

Ty Lawson – 13/2/3 Played 19 minutes off the bench and will stay in a bench role probably the rest of the regular season. The Nuggets need him healthy for the playoffs, not for your fantasy championship, unfortunately……

Vince Carter – 22/12/7/1/2 Vinsanity!!!

JaVale McGee – 11/9/1/1/4 Need to stream blocks?

Derrick Favors – 6/8/3stl/2blk Is getting over 30 minutes a games and is a nice play right now.

Hasheem Thabeet – 2/6/4blk Started for Kendrick Perkins last night and will be a nice source of blocks when doing so.

Will Barton – 18/7/2stl Barton is on a nice run right now filling in for Wes Mathews.

Do your fantasy playoffs end tomorrow? Looking for some Sunday streamers? We’ve got you covered…..

Points and 3 pointers – Rashard Lewis, Jimmy Butler, Nate Robinson, Will Barton, Wilson Chandler, Ty Lawson, Corey Brewer, Vince Carter, Marcus Thornton, Toney Douglas, Francisco Garcia, Jodie Meeks, Antawn Jamison.

Assists - Kirk Hinrich, Andre Miller, Brian Roberts.

Boards or blocks – Nazr Mohammed, Aaron Gray, Quincy Acy, Alonzo Gee, Tyler Zeller, JaVale McGee, Brendan Wright, Terrence Jones, Greg Smith.

Remember, you can hit me up with questions or comments below or contact me through Twitter @jfort753. See you all tomorrow with my final post this season to prepare you for the final week!
